So, you want to hatch a baby gator?  It’s hatching season at Gatorama and VNC has tickets to this unique experience!

                               

We will be going to Gatorama on Thursday, August 31st.  It opens at 10 am and closes at 5 PM.  Admission includes alligator and crocodile feeding shows, bobcat, kinkajou and other animal exhibits, baby gator ponds, and more.

We have 2 scheduled encounters.  

At 10 AM Tortoise Encounter.  We’ll be taken into their environment and learn about their history, take photos, and even get to feed these gentle giants!

At 12:15 PM Hatch and Hold.  When we check in, we will be given a ticket for our hatching group – we’ll have to listen to be called.  When called, we will be given gloves and directed to a hatching station.  Hatching time varies. Once you’ve finished hatching and take a few selfies, your guide will take the baby and place it in the “nursery.” 

Things to Know:

• Gatorama is 80 miles OR a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Venice.  Carpooling is recommended.

• Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

• Pack a lunch.  Gatorama DOES NOT have a restaurant.  The gift shop has light snacks and beverages for purchase.  The closest restaurant is 20 minutes by car. 

• Outside food is NOT ALLOWED inside Gatorama. Picnic tables are out front for use.
