Venice Newcomers Club Announces New Veteran Fund to Sponsor Memberships for Local U.S. Veterans
Venice, FL —
January 17th, 2026 — Venice Newcomers Club, Inc. is pleased to announce the creation of the Venice Newcomers Club Veteran Fund, a new initiative made possible by a generous
$15,000 gift from the Gene Anselmo 2019 Trust. The fund will provide sponsored club memberships for eligible United States veterans in the Venice area.
The Veteran Fund is designed to remove financial barriers to joining the Club by covering initial joining fees and annual membership renewal fees for qualified U.S. veterans. The fund may also be used to cover membership fees for a veteran's household partner. The partner does not need to be a veteran.
The fund may be used only for membership fees and may not be used for club events, activities, or program fees.
"We are deeply grateful to the Gene Anselmo 2019 Trust for making this opportunity possible," said Jennifer Moreland, President of Venice Newcomers Club. "This fund allows us to welcome more veterans into our social club and help them build connections and friendships in Venice."
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for support from the Venice Newcomers Club Veteran Fund, an applicant must:
- Be a United States veteran; and
- Meet all Venice Newcomers Club membership requirements:
- Currently living in one of the following zip codes: 34275, 34285, 34292, or 34293;
- Having lived in the area for less than three (3) years; and
- Reside in the area for more than nine (9) months per year.
The fund will remain available until fully expended and will continue to be used for this purpose for as long as funds remain.
